I created this journal for my friends who only visit the Madison Valley of Montana in the summer and ask me the question, "What are the winters like?" I hope you enjoy my photos and comments as I share my Montana moments this year. Perhaps it will give you a peek into what it is truly like to live here full time. Welcome to my world.

A Beautiful Rainbow
As you can tell by the lack of posts I have been very busy lately.
Ken and I were invited to participate in a fund raiser for the Hospital Foundation last week and we have another outdoor show coming up for Ken.
Our art is selling, which is wonderful, but our play time out of doors has been limited.
We did take a drive last week. It was raining and I got this rainbow on film. It was awesome.
The past couple of weeks we have had three or four days in the low 90's. Yesterday it poured rain and never got above 70.
We are blessed this year to have so much moisture. Some of the old timers say they do not remember a time when the valley was so green.

Look Out For the Bears
While driving to the ranch this week a bear cub ran in front of the truck. I stopped and we watched as it climbed the nearest tree.
When you see a cub its mother is sure to be close by. So, I quickly snapped this somewhat blurry shot through the passenger window from the driver's side. At least you can tell it was a bear. I just love seeing so much wildlife.
Today we had a rose breasted grosbeak dine at our bird feeder.
We continue to experience thunderstorms and rain, which is very unusual for us. Everything is lush and green. Temperatures have been in the low to mid eighties.
