When I talked to Ken he said he heard the fire trucks last night. Later today he captured these images.
Temperatures remain in the twenties at night and thirties during the day.
I created this journal for my friends who only visit the Madison Valley of Montana in the summer and ask me the question, "What are the winters like?" I hope you enjoy my photos and comments as I share my Montana moments this year. Perhaps it will give you a peek into what it is truly like to live here full time. Welcome to my world.

Here, in Madrid, it is very cold these days
ReplyDeleteand has even snowed.
Tomás.
Tomas, is snow unusual for you?
ReplyDeleteHere in Madrid, usually snows once a year, at most two, and every year it does not snow, then snow here, I mean the capital is almost unknown. In the mountains there are many and all winter.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
I grew up in the desert and rarely saw snow. It was not until I moved to New Mexico and Colorado that I experienced what it is like to have lots of snow. During our time in Ennis we have not experienced as much snow as we did in Colorado. It is the cold accompanied by wind here in Ennis that makes winter unpleasant for most people. The wind often causes snow drifts when it does snow.
