It's Cold Outside

It has been a bit colder this week...windy and fairly warm one day then cold with ice and snow the next.  This morning it was five degrees outside.  The wind was silent and the sun bright.  It looks like it will be a beautiful cold day.

Yesterday it was twelve degrees in the morning, snow during the day and temperatures did not get out of the twenties.  It is that time of year when winter and spring do this amazing dance.

Ken captured these awesome images of the sun rising over fan mountain this week.  I love the magnificence of the skies this time of year.

Mountain Top

This just in from Ken.  He took the photo this morning on his way to VC Ranches.  Here is what he had to say:
"Somewhere within me stands a mountain top where I can stand and rise above all else."

We had about three inches of snow yesterday when we headed to Bozeman to meet a friend.  Norris hill was snow packed and icy.  By the time we returned home late afternoon the roads were dry from wind and occasional sun.

Today it has been cloudy most of the day.  More snow is predicted and another arctic blast.  Currently temperatures are in the low twenties.

Snow on the Mountains

Sunday morning it was in the low forties when we woke. There was a steady breeze all day and it rained off and on all day.

We spent the day finishing projects inside that had not been completed since we moved.

Monday was partly cloudy. When the sun came out you could see the snow capped mountains. I love how they look all covered in snow.

Ken's more powerful lens captured a closer look than my point and shoot camera.
