New From Ken

You will not find the beautiful animal above here in Ennis, but I love this image Ken got of him and the words he was inspired to write.  I thought it was worth sharing.

It has been such a busy week I have not had time to venture out and take photos.  Ken's sister is visiting and we have been "playing" in my studio creating new items for several of my outlets and shows.

It has been mild in temperature and windy all week.  It is thirty to forty degrees in the mornings and up to has high as sixty degrees during the day.  Of course, the wind makes it feel colder.  The small amount of moisture has come through light rains that last only a few moments.

I created some totally new pieces yesterday and can hardly wait to finish them.  Off to the studio to see what magic awaits today.

Awesome Sunrise

We were amazed at the awesome colors that lit up the sky this morning at sunrise.  I wish you could have seen it.  Ken's photo is amazing but as always it is not the same as being there.

It is sixty degrees outside right now.  The wind is blowing and it is feeling like spring.  I am loving it.

Spring Snow and More Wind

 Yesterday we woke to six inches of wet snow.  Ken, camera in hand, disappeared for most of the morning.  Today he sent me this image from his trip across the Madison River.

This morning it was eighteen degrees and is still in the low twenties.  The wind is so strong in almost knocked me down twice while I was a out running errands.  Much of yesterday's snow has melted but today it was too cold to melt much.

The red wing black birds showed up at the feeders today.  Spring is here.
